Haven’t heard of Shared Branching before? Your credit union is part of the CO-OP Shared Branching Network. This network started about twenty years ago. Several credit unions got together and wanted to have an option for their members to have access to their finances if there was a natural disaster or just on vacation. It started with 50 participating credit unions and now there are 5,000 participating credit union branches and over 2,000 self service locations in the U.S.

What do you need to participate?

  • Find out which credit unions are participating by going to the CO-OP Shared Branching website at: www.sharedbranching.org
or download the iPhone or Android app.
  • In Lafayette, First Pioneers Federal Credit Union and UL Federal Credit Union are participants.

When you go into a Shared Branching Service Center you will need:

  • Your home credit union’s name
  • Your account number
  • A valid government issued photo identification (i.e. State Driver’s License or U.S. Passport)
